John Bennett - Accredited Counsellor

I feel convinced our early experiences and relationships will have strongly shaped the person we have become.  However, I also strongly believe we each have the possibility to adapt and change throughout our lives.

I view the counselling relationship between client and counsellor as a powerful opportunity to take stock and gain more awareness of ourselves. Making new choices in how we live our lives can lead us to feeling more fulfilled and content.

After working in IT for many years I made the decison over a decade ago to re-train as a counsellor / psychotherapist.

I qualified with a BA (Honours) Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy awarded by Greenwich University. I went on to gain accredited member status with the Britsish Association of Counselling & Psycotherapy. I am registered on the BACP Register of Counsellors & Psycotherapists. I am committed to continuing my learning and undertake ongoing annual professional and personal development.

As well as working in private practice I worked for many years, part-time, for the Hampton Trust as a group facilitator, helping individuals who want to stop using abuse in their intimate relationships.

My passion in business over the last 30 years has been, and continues to be, working with people to help them achieve what they want from life.
