CBT Counselling Basingstoke, Fleet & Hook in Hampshire
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy): How we are thinking has a significant influence on what we are feeling and what we say and do (or don't say and do!).
Sometimes we are very conscious of these thought patterns and sometimes less so.
CBT sessions can help us to recognise unhelpful negative thought patterns and behaviours as we experience them. We are then more able to find ways to think differently and make more helpful choices in how we respond.
How CBT can Help
CBT encourages a focus on current issues and helps find ways to make positive changes each day.
"I am in a much better place now and while things are not perfect I at least have the tools to ensure I don't end up in a black hole again"
"I would just like to thank you for everything you have done for me. You have been a great help and very understanding about my problems. I feel much better in myself now and in a good frame of mind"
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent” - Anna Eleanor Roosevelt
“(People) are disturbed not by things, but by the view which they take of them” - Albert Ellis
