John Bennett
I value the uniqueness and potential of each human being and believe we
have the possibility to change throughout our lives. I feel convinced our early experience of relationships will have strongly shaped the person we have become. I believe that it is in relationship with others, such as with an experienced counsellor, that we have the potential to make changes which can enable us to become more satisfied with our life.
I view the counselling relationship between client and counsellor as a powerful opportunity to take stock and gain more awareness of ourselves. Making new choices in how we live our lives can lead us to feeling more fulfilled and content.
I am an accredited member of the BACP and bound by their code of professional ethics. I am qualified with a BA (Honours) Degree in Counselling awarded by Greenwich University. I am committed to continuing my learning and undertake ongoing professional and personal development. I am also a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist.
As well as working in private practice I work part-time for the Hampton Trust as a counsellor and therapeutic group faciltator helping:
- adult and child victims of domestic abuse recover from their experiences
- individuals who want to stop using abuse in their intimate relationships
My passion in business over the last 25 years has been, and continues to be, working with people to help them achieve what they want from life.
I offer individual counselling, couple counselling, family therapy and psychotherapy on the borders of Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire.
